Something we’ve always enjoyed about event planning is the joy that radiates from guests as they indulge in celebration. Ember Events aims to focus our planning and design on meeting the specific needs of our clients while offering innovative, creative, and engaging experiences that look good, feel good, and will be cherished.
We are based out of Denton, Texas and primarily serve the Dallas-Forth Worth metro, and are available for travel in Texas, Oklahoma, and beyond!

With a background in education, research is our thing! Our approach ensures we get to know our clients, their needs, and their backgrounds well and explore any and all there is to know related to planning and design concepts, customs and traditions, and emerging trends.

Simply put, we are two best friends turned lovers who have a passion for events and celebrating life's many occasions. When it came time to plan our own wedding, we found much joy and ease with a background in event planning. We wanted to dive deeper into our skills and passions to offer others high quality service to bring their celebrations to life and founded Ember Events in 2024.

Juan enjoyed a successful career with event planning in the realm of higher education. His work garnered multiple institutional and national awards for their creativity and engaging strategies. He is passionate about branding and design and has ample experience with event logistics and management. Juan received a Bachelors degree from Baylor University (Sic 'Em Bears!) and a Masters degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Derica loves a good love story and the color pink! She has worked with various types of events and has experience with logistics and planning. As a little girl playing dress up and planning her future wedding, she has always loved to plan, make connections, and find creative ways to tell love stories. You'll never catch her without a paper planner, her Google Calendar, and a coffee from DutchBros! Derica received a Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of Oklahoma.
